Emma Parker - Programme Manger
Emma has a background in social care and volunteer management. Emma has experience working with a diverse range of community groups including physical and intellectual disabilities, mental health and older adults. Emma enjoys connecting with community organisations and working alongside the Wandersearch volunteers who dedicate their time to provide essential support to clients and their families.
Emma is passionate about raising awareness and knowledge in our communities of WanderSearch Canterbury and the support the Trust can provide to vulnerable individuals in the community who are at risk of going missing.
'Thank you to the lovely people of Christchurch WanderSearch who helped mum stay in her residential unit (and go walking nearly every day) for several extra months before she eventually needed to be admitted to a Dementia unit. Looking back, I appreciate more fully that these extra days of independence were so very precious.'
